This Privacy Policy explains how Ra2yee ("Ra2yee," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the Ra2yee mobile application, the Ra2yee Panel website at respondent.ra2yee.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The mobile app and the Panel website are operated together as one connected service — earning happens primarily in the app, and redemption happens on the Panel website. Ra2yee is operated by The Consultants MEA, a market research consultancy registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt under the commercial name Beta The Consultants.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Our privacy contact within The Consultants MEA is responsible for overseeing compliance with this Policy and acts as our point of contact for the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Center.
a. Information you provide when signing up: mobile phone number; name; email address (optional); date of birth (used to verify minimum age and to determine whether minor-account restrictions apply); gender; location (country, city, and optionally neighborhood); demographic information (e.g., education, occupation, household composition); interests and lifestyle preferences.
b. Information you provide while participating in studies: survey responses, interview transcripts, voice or video recordings (where the study explicitly requests them and you choose to participate), uploaded images or files, and any other content you choose to share during a study.
c. Sensitive personal data: some studies may ask, with your specific consent before each study, about topics that Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) treats as sensitive, including health, religious or political opinions, ethnic origin, or biometric identifiers (such as your voice in a recorded interview). You may decline any individual study without penalty, and we apply enhanced protections to this category of data including stricter access controls and shorter retention windows.
d. Information collected automatically: device information (model, operating system, app version, device identifier, push notification token); IP address; approximate location derived from IP; app usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration, study completion rates); crash and diagnostic logs.
e. Information from third parties: if you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile identifier from that provider, subject to your permissions on that platform.
f. Rewards, redemption, and bridge data: points balance and transaction history; redemption history (rewards selected and vouchers issued). To redeem rewards, the Ra2yee mobile app connects you to the Ra2yee Panel website. When you initiate this connection for the first time, the following information is transferred from the app to the Panel so that your panel account can be created or matched: phone number, name, email address (if provided), age, and gender. On subsequent connections, your current point balance and redemption authorizations are also synchronized between the app and the Panel. Bridge transfers are secured with cryptographic signatures and short-lived tokens. The Panel does not overwrite information you have already set on the Panel side — it only fills in fields that are still empty.
The Ra2yee Panel website uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service — for example, to keep you signed in, to remember your language preference, and to protect against fraud. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. The Ra2yee mobile application does not use cookies but uses the equivalent local storage on your device for the same purposes.
We use your personal data only for the following purposes:
The Service uses automated processing, including AI-assisted tools, for tasks such as matching you to relevant studies, detecting fraudulent or low-quality responses, generating summaries of qualitative interviews for the researcher, and routing respondents through study logic. These automated steps do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. You have the right to ask us for human review of any automated decision that affects your account, by contacting privacy@ra2yee.com.
We rely on the following legal bases under Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020):
a. With the brands and institutions that commission studies: we share only aggregated and anonymized insights — patterns, themes, statistics. We never share your name, phone number, email, or other contact details with study commissioners.
b. With service providers (under written agreements that restrict their use of your data to providing services to Ra2yee):
c. Rewards: rewards are currently issued and fulfilled by Ra2yee directly. We may engage merchants as commercial partners to honor vouchers we issue, but the redemption process is operated entirely by Ra2yee and no personal data is shared with these merchants. We do not share your data with third-party reward partners. If we introduce third-party reward partners in the future, this Policy will be updated and you will be notified before any data is shared with them.
d. With our affiliated entities: we may share data with The Consultants MEA and other entities operating under common ownership, for the purposes described in this Policy.
e. For legal reasons: we may disclose your data if required by Egyptian law, court order, or governmental authority with proper jurisdiction, or where necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.
Some of our service providers (e.g., Firebase, Mailgun) process data outside Egypt. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual data protection clauses requiring the same level of protection as required under Egyptian law.
We distinguish between two categories of data with different retention rules.
Personal and account data — information that identifies you (such as your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and profile details) is kept only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention periods include:
Research data — your survey responses, interview transcripts, and other study contributions are de-linked from your identifying information and retained indefinitely as anonymized research data owned by Ra2yee. Once de-linked, this data can no longer be used to identify you and is used for ongoing analysis, benchmarking, longitudinal research, and the development of our research capabilities. Even if you delete your account, the anonymized research contributions you made while a panel member remain part of our research dataset.
You can delete your Ra2yee account at any time. We provide three methods:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@ra2yee.com or use the in-app controls under Profile → Privacy. We respond to requests within a reasonable time and no later than thirty (30) days.
Ra2yee is intended for use by residents of the Arab Republic of Egypt aged thirteen (13) and above. Anyone under the age of eighteen (18) is considered a minor and is subject to the additional protections described in this section.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and you wish to request access to, correction of, or deletion of a minor's data, contact us at privacy@ra2yee.com.
If we learn that we have collected data from anyone under the age of thirteen (13), we will delete it promptly.
If you allow push notifications, we use them to deliver study invitations, account-related messages, and (with your separate opt-in consent) Ra2yee updates. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings, or selectively in the app under Profile → Notifications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or in the app under Profile → Notifications.
We protect your personal data with technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and regular review of our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and we will notify you and the relevant authority promptly in the event of any breach affecting your personal data, as required by Egyptian law.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).
